DayCare had a "Wild Thing" day a few weeks ago, whereby the kids (parents) were encouraged to dress as a "wild thing", or as the "wildest thing" they could imagine.
There was quite a few wild hair, spangles, glitter, a few lions and tigers, and I think a bear.
Evie was adamant that she wanted to dress as a Pink Lion. For about 2 weeks before the "Wild Thing" day, we discussed what she would wear. Pink Lion, Pink Lion, Pink Lion was invariably the response.
Great, thinks I. We have a cat mask left over from last Halloween, and she owns plenty of pink clothes. This should be easy...
Until we went into the fabric store.
Suddenly a Pink Lion was far too scary. Tried as I might, I could not talk her into her Pink Lion.
Then she spotted some hideous furry blue fabric. And the Blue Elephant was born.
And that blue fur is still turning up everywhere - over a month later!
